Nvidia’s GT 1030 is the company’s entry-level dedicated graphics card, and it will go up against AMD’s RX 550. Many variants include passive cooling and low power consumption, making this a great card for small form-factor projects or for use as a HTPC. As long as you use Nvidia’s web drivers, you can expect an 80 percent gain in performance over the Intel HD 630 in Coffee Lake and Kaby Lake CPUs, which is compatible with MacOS High Sierra.
The GT 1030 has two models: one with GDDR5 memory and the other with DDR4. Keep away from DDR4 cards, as they’re substantially slower than their GDDR5 counterparts. Use NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext if you encounter any problems with this GPU.

If you’re going to use your hackintosh for video editing or multimedia production, the Radeon RX 460 really outperforms the Nvidia GTX 1050 in terms of performance. The RX 560 (the next card in this list) is based on the same architecture as the RX 560, with the sole difference being the clock speed.
Mac OS X High Sierra and Mojave both natively support the Radeon RX 460’s Polaris architecture, thus no third-party drivers are required. A dark screen after booting may be caused by the -RadeonDeInit boot setting in Clover.

Gigabyte Radeon RX 560 OC 4G
Best for video editing and hackintosh compatibility
Replacement for AMD’s RX 460 is the Radeon RX 560. Compared to the RX 460, it boasts a 10% increase in clock speeds and is 10% more efficient. RX 560 now serves as my primary graphics card in my daily video editing workstation. One LG 4K display through DisplayPort and a second LG Ultrawide via HDMI are connected. FCPX runs about 80% faster than my 2017 15-inch MacBook Pro with a Radeon Pro 555, for example, which has a Core i7 processor. Mac OS X native drivers function flawlessly, plus it’s also a powerful gaming card. This would be the graphics card I’d suggest if someone asked me to pick one out of the ones on this list.
EVGA GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Best for gaming
In terms of architecture, the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti is based on the same as the GTX 1050. In contrast to the 4GB model, this one is 20 percent faster on average and has double the amount of VRAM. Video editing and other VRAM-intensive jobs benefit greatly from the additional capacity.
