1. EVGA RTX 2080 Super Black Gaming: Best overall graphics card for Core i5-9600K
When combined with the RTX 2080Ti, the 9600K delivers performance that is extremely close to that of the 9700K and 9900K. The 9600K’s performance in CPU-intensive games (such as AC Odyssey and Shadow of the Tomb Raider) suffers substantially as a result. When it comes to maximum framerates at 1440p, the one percent lows are still below the other two CPUs.
RTX 2080Ti is not recommended for the i5-9600K because of this. Instead, you should purchase the RTX 2080 Super. We think this is the finest GPU for the 9600K in general. You’ll get the most out of it and save a lot of money in the process.
While the RTX 2080 Super Black Gaming can be used for 1440p high refresh rate gaming with no compromises, it can also be utilised for 4K gaming with some concessions (or more than a few in some games).
With this card, you’ll be able to play any future game at full 1080p or 1440p graphic detail resolution on any display. Check out our list of the top 1440p 240hz monitors if you’re interested in high-refresh rate 1440p monitors.
2. Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT: Best AMD 1440p 60fps gaming graphics card for i5-9600K
Even the GTX 1660 Super can handle 1440p 60fps gaming provided you’re willing to disable a sufficient number of graphic features. Here we’re talking about a 1440p 60fps AAA gaming experience with all visuals turned up to maximum. The RX 5700 XT is the finest AMD GPU for the 9600K in this regard.
1440p 60fps gaming may be done with this card. At 60 fps, you can play any AAA game. Esports and fps games can be played at a high refresh rate on 1440p monitors with high refresh rates. Running AAA games at 60 frames per second with all settings maxed out will also be possible.
3. MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X: Best Nvidia 1440p 60fps gaming GPU for i5-9600K
The RTX 2070 is the finest Nvidia GPU for the 9600K if 1440p gaming is what you’re looking for in a graphics card. RTX and DLSS capabilities are included as an added benefit of the RTX 2070. In games that enable it, the latter can give you a significant performance increase.
However, it isn’t fantastic with the RTX. At 1440p, older games that enable RTX effects can run at 60 frames per second. In our opinion, though, the RTX 2070 Super is overkill for RTX 1440p gaming. However, the RTX 2070 Super is more than adequate for 1440p gaming on a regular basis and in esports competitions.
4. ASUS GTX 1660 Super OC: Best 1080p gaming graphics card for i5-9600K
In terms of 1080p gaming, we recommend the GTX 1660 Super OC. The graphics hardware is capable of running any AAA game at 60 frames per second with the highest settings enabled.
With all that, the card is very quiet and doesn’t overheat even when playing for long periods of time. At 1080p, you can run esports games at high refresh rates without any problems.
5. Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT: Best 1400p high refresh rate gaming GPU for i5-9600K
At 1080p and 1440p, the 9600K is capable of running any game at a high refresh rate at any resolution. The RTX 2080 Super is the obvious choice for 1440p high refresh rate performance, but the RX 5700 XT’s lower price makes it a better value.
Most FPS and multiplayer games may be played at 100 fps or more on this machine. It does a good job with AAA titles. By decreasing several graphics parameters, you can usually get to around 100 fps in most games.
6. EVGA RTX 2060 KO Gaming: Best high refresh rate gaming graphics card at 1080p gaming
When it comes to 1080p high refresh rate gaming, the RTX 2060 is the card of choice from Nvidia. For this resolution, the card is a solid pick and can run any AAA game at roughly 80-90 fps or better with full effects enabled. There is nothing this card can’t handle when it comes to multi-player gaming or esports.
The best video card for the 9600K is the RTX 2060. Even if your primary focus is on competitive video games like eSports and online multiplayer, you can still enjoy AAA titles on occasion. At 1080p, even the most demanding games don’t require more than 6GB of RAM. Moreover, for years to come, 6 GB of video memory will suffice for esports.
7. Zotac Gaming RTX 2070 Super Mini: Best 9600K graphics card for SFF builds
The best SFF card for an ITX design based on a 9600K CPU is the Zotac RTX 2070 Super Mini. Even some ultra-portable HTPC cases can accommodate the card. Jump to our finest Mini-ITX cases post if you need inspiration for your new case.
Compared to the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super reference card, this model is just as powerful. In other words, you can play AAA games at 60 frames per second or higher and esports and multiplayer games at 100 frames per second or greater at 1440p.
The greatest low-profile graphics cards may be found in our post on how to build an ultra-compact SFF PC. There are a couple of low-cost game cards included in this kit.
8. Gigabyte GTX 1650 Super OC: Best esports 1080p gaming GPU for Core i5-9600K
It is not necessary to invest a lot of money on a graphics card if you only play esports and multiplayer games. It’s possible that the GTX 1650 Super is a good option for 1080p as well.
At least 60 frames per second can be achieved in even the most taxing multiplayer games like Battlefield 5 and Apex Legends. Older games like Rainbow Six Siege can run at 100 frames per second or more.
In other words, if you desire, you can utilise the GTX 1650 Super to run high-refresh-rate esports and multiplayer games. Changing the graphic settings is all that is required. The GTX 1650 can play AAA titles at 60 frames per second or less. Most AAA games from the past two decades will run smoothly at frame rates much beyond 60 frames per second.
9. ASUS GTX 1660 Super OC: Best esports 1440p gaming graphics card for 9600K
The GTX 1660 Super OC is the finest value when it comes to 1440p esports gaming. With most settings at maximum, you should be able to play any esports game at 60 frames per second without any problems.
A positive aspect of this is that even the most recent AAA titles should run well. Not every game with high or max graphics will run at 60 fps per second. However, the 1660 Super is capable of running AAA titles at 60 frames per second with a little modification.
