Exempt from Credit Cards: Gas Stations
Despite the fact that most gas stations take credit cards, there are still a few that do not and prefer other payment methods.
ARCO is the only petrol station worthy of note.
There are a few areas in Washington, California, Oregon, and Nevada where credit cards are not accepted, but they are not widely available.
At ARCO, you can pay using any of the following other methods:
debit cards and cash (may charge 35 cents per transaction).
Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Android Pay are all available.
Payment for Gas using Debit and Gift Cards
Most gas stations have a walk-in store adjacent to them. Most of the time, the store accepts gift cards and pre-paid debit cards, but not the actual pump.
However, this varies depending on the card you are using and the gas station you are at.
They may be denied at the pump since they charge up to $125 for pre-authorization.
Paying at the gasoline station is not necessary if you have pumped $20 worth of gas and want to pay the cashier with a method of your choice.

Credit cards are generally accepted at the vast majority of petrol stations. Filling up your tank and paying with a credit card should not be an issue. If you’re going to utilize a credit card, be sure it gives a decent cash back reward.
