What Is the NS&I Prize Checker?
The NS&I Prize Checker is a free, secure tool offered by National Savings & Investments (NS&I), designed specifically for Premium Bonds holders. Every month, NS&I holds a prize draw with tax-free cash prizes ranging from £25 to a staggering £1 million. Top Tips to Increase Your NS&I Winnings Potential
Let’s be clear: NS&I Premium Bonds are not interest-earning. They’re prize-based, so luck plays a big role. But here are a few things that increase your odds:
✅ Hold More Bonds
Each £1 bond counts as one entry. The more you hold (up to the £50,000 limit), the higher your chances.
✅ Stay Invested
Your bonds don’t qualify until full calendar month after purchase. So don’t expect a win in your first month.
✅ Check Every Month
Prizes don’t expire immediately, but some go unclaimed for years. Don’t be that person—check monthly!
What Happens If You Win?
If your Premium Bonds win:
- 💸 Prizes are either paid direct to your bank account or reinvested (based on your preference)
- 💌 NS&I will email or write to you if you’ve won a high-value prize
- 🧾 You can view full prize history via your account or the checker
Best of all, your winnings are tax-free—no need to tell HMRC!
Is the NS&I Prize Checker Safe to Use?
Absolutely. It’s run by NS&I, a government-backed financial institution. It uses encryption, two-factor authentication, and secure login methods. Plus, your money with NS&I is 100% backed by HM Treasury, making it one of the safest places to stash your savings.
Final Thoughts: Check Now or Regret Later
Still haven’t used the NS&I Prize Checker? You’re potentially leaving free tax-free money on the table. With billions in Premium Bonds out there and millions of monthly prizes, the odds of at least winning £25 are better than most lottery tickets—and your investment is always safe.
🔔 Don’t wait another month. Check your NS&I Premium Bonds today and see if you’ve already won. That £1 million jackpot might just be yours.
🔥 Pro Tip: Bookmark the NS&I Prize Checker, set a calendar reminder, and make it a monthly ritual. You might be richer than you think!
