What is Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia?
As the epidemic swept the globe, many companies were unable to cope with the sudden change and were forced to close their doors or fire employees. As a result, the Malaysian government created a number of aid programs to help its people in trying times.
One such program that the Malaysian Finance Minister unveiled in 2022 is BKM. BKM is a direct cash aid program that was first introduced during Budget 2022 with the goal of helping those in need—especially the B40 group—recover from the pandemic and lessen the burden of an expensive cost of living.
This strategy aims to assist low-income groups in reducing their financial burden. It was decided to provide funding after taking rising living costs and food prices into consideration.
