This is how I changed my life.
“Decluttering your paper and digital files will improve your productivity, reduce your stress, and enhance your focus,” my best friend told me when she stopped by my office. “And I won’t visit you again until you do that.”
Yes, I have a friend that isn’t afraid to voice his opinions and see what others miss. He presented me with a challenge, which I accepted.
I was early for work the next day and started going through my folders, asking myself if I had used this particular file in the previous five years. I threw it away if the response was negative. Sorting through the data gave me a feeling of freedom.
My thoughts was clearer and my space was more organised after getting rid of everything. I had acquired a renewed sense of serenity at the conclusion of the day. This self-imposed task enhanced my surroundings and my perspective on life.
